Reus (REU)
Reus Airport is around 3 kms from the Spanish City of Reus, 13 kms from Tarragona, 10 kms of the coastal towns and around 80kms south of Barcelona. There is quite a lot of modernization going on at the airport and a new check in area has just opened on the side of the old departure terminal and the swanky but smallish and modern arrivals terminal is open. There is also a small kiddies playground area with a slide etc just outside the departures terminal, by the model of an aeroplane. Most of the flights coming to the airport of Reus are from Ryanair, Thomas Cook, First Choice, My Travel and ThomsonFly.

The Barcelona International Airport "El Prat de Llobregat" is situated in the southwest of Barcelona and is the second biggest airport in Spain behind Madrid Barajas and first of Catalonia and the Mediterranean coast. The airport is well connected by bus, train and taxi to the city of Barcelona and by train and busses with the Costa Dorada. If you fly to this airport and have a transfer included in the price, most likely the transfer busses are parked next to terminal A, the international companies flights terminal. At terminal B, the national companies flights terminal and outside in front of the Miro mural paintings, you will find the regular bus services operated by PLANA and ALSA to the Costa Dorada. If you want a taxi you don't have to look far, they are everywhere. The train station is opposite the flight terminals.

Some budget airlines mention "Barcelona" in their descriptions of Girona airport so that you know when you fly to these small airports it's possible to make a connection between the airport and your ultimate destination, Barcelona. The Barcelona bus is the most convenient method of transfer between Girona Airport and Barcelona city centre. The bus service is run by an independent company and has no direct business association with Ryanair. However Barcelona Bus arranged its times of departure and arrival to co-incite with the arrival and departure of Ryanair flights. If you need to continue your trip to the Costa Dorada, you ll have to take another bus or train to your destination. Total transfer time if you go directly from Salou to Girona Airport is about 2hr 30 min.
